I'm Glad You're Here
Background and Approach
My educational background reflects a longstanding commitment to understanding human development, emotional well-being, and the many factors that shape our lives and relationships.

I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, followed by a Master’s degree in Secondary Education. I later went on to earn my Master of Social Work from University of Southern California, graduating in 2007.

Since that time, I have continued to build a clinical practice grounded in compassion, insight, and whole-person care. I became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in July 2011 and have spent many years supporting individuals navigating chronic pain, stress, anxiety, depression, and life transitions.

My combined background in education and clinical social work informs a thoughtful, collaborative approach that honors each person’s unique experiences while helping individuals move toward healing and greater well-being.
My Philosophy
Reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step, and finding someone you feel comfortable talking with is incredibly important. To help make that first step feel a little easier, I offer a complimentary 15-minute phone consultation where we can briefly connect, talk about what brings you to therapy, and see whether working together feels like the right fit.

I believe that healing begins with feeling safe, understood, and genuinely heard. Building trust is an important part of the therapeutic relationship, and I strive to create a space virtually where clients feel supported, respected, and comfortable being themselves.

How it works
During our first few sessions, I will complete a thoughtful assessment so I can better understand your experiences, concerns, and goals. Together, we will develop a treatment plan that reflects your individual needs and supports both emotional and physical well-being through a whole-person approach to care.

Healing, much like the tides, unfolds in its own rhythm — sometimes steady, sometimes more subtle, but always moving toward greater balance and clarity. Each person’s journey is unique. Some clients come to therapy seeking to better understand and address the emotional stressors that may be contributing to chronic pain or physical symptoms. Others continue therapy as a way to support ongoing stress management, strengthen resilience, and reduce the likelihood of symptom recurrence. Some return periodically for supportive check-in sessions when life feels especially challenging or when they want guidance navigating specific stressors before they begin to impact their well-being.

Wherever you are in your process, my goal is to offer a compassionate and collaborative space where healing, insight, and lasting change flows at a pace that feels right for you.
